INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, finely chopped, cored, and seeded
- 2 cans (16 ounces each) of pork and beans
- 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup of ketchup
- 2 tablespoons of spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 6 to 8 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped

- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a large saucepan, cook the ground beef along with the onions and bell pepper until the beef is no longer pink.
- Add the pork and beans, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the chopped bacon over the top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Allow the dish to stand for 10 minutes before serving.
