INGREDIENTS 8 cups of popped popcorn 2 cups of pecan halves 3/4 cup of packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup of butter 1/4 cup of light corn syrup 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the popped popcorn and pecan halves.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, mix the brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda.
  5. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and pecans, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. Transfer the coated mixture to a large rimmed baking sheet, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  8. Immediately spread the baked mixture onto foil or parchment paper to cool.
  9. Once cooled, break apart and serve. Enjoy!
