INGREDIENTS 8 cups of popped popcorn 2 cups of pecan halves 3/4 cup of packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup of butter 1/4 cup of light corn syrup 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
PREPARATION
- Preheat the oven to 250°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the popped popcorn and pecan halves.
- In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, mix the brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Pour the mixture over the popcorn and pecans, tossing to coat evenly.
- Transfer the coated mixture to a large rimmed baking sheet, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Immediately spread the baked mixture onto foil or parchment paper to cool.
- Once cooled, break apart and serve. Enjoy!
